Technology and Telecommunications
The Wyoming Business Council has established a framework through
the University of Wyoming to assist and encourage the further
development of technology-related businesses.
Communities
The Investment-Ready Communities Division works with communities
to assess community attributes from the perspective of a corporate
site locator.
Business and Industry
The Business and Industry Division focuses its attention on
creating new and better job opportunities in Wyoming by:
- Encouraging new business start-ups
- Strengthening retention and expansion programs
to help existing Wyoming companies
- Targeting and recruiting businesses to
Wyoming
The division works with local organizations
such as economic development groups, chambers of commerce and
local government to help lay the foundation for economic development.
Agri-Business
As one of the top three industries in the state, agriculture has
a total economic impact of nearly $1.5 billion on the Wyoming economy.
Travel
and Tourism
The Travel and Tourism Division works closely with the Wyoming travel
industry -- the state's second-leading industry, with 37,823 full-time
and part-time employees.
Mineral,
Energy and Transportation
The Energy and Mineral Division embarked on a five-year effort
designed to assist private and public leaders in doubling the production
volume of the energy and minerals industries in Wyoming.
Film and
Arts
The Mission of the Wyoming Arts Council is to enhance the
quality of life for the people of Wyoming by providing resources
to sustain, promote and cultivate the arts.
