Trilegiant Corporation
Trilegiant Corporation, (formerly SafeCard
Services, Inc.,) relocated its national corporate headquarters to Cheyenne
in 1992. When the company announced its relocation plans, it stated
that Cheyenne was selected for numerous reasons. First, Wyoming had
the second highest literacy rate in the nation, and the lowest crime
rate. The company stated that Wyoming was the second best in the country
for fiscal policy, and no corporate or personal state income tax.
The company occupies a unique niche in the credit card industry. It
is the largest credit card protection company, keeping track of about
100 million credit cards for more than 10 million people. It also provides
consumer credit monitoring, sells and operates specialized credit plans,
provides travel agency services, and underwrites insurance to millions
of customers through its insurance company.
Trilegiant has been a community-oriented employer from the start. Its
executives and staff serve on boards and regularly volunteer for several
community and philanthropic organizations.
